大學社區夥伴:發展理解差異的協作模式
University-Community Partnership: Developing a Difference-Appreciating Collaboration Model

一、徵稿主題說明

每個大學團隊與各個場域,內部各自都有不同的文化與脈絡,加上議題取向的不同,甚至在疫情等臨時狀況下必須做的彈性調整,都使得大學團隊內部的合作與大學/社區夥伴關係的樣貌,就像愛情沒有唯一的標準答案,只有在不斷磨合中找到最適合彼此的相處方式。這讓社會實踐計畫的執行過程充滿挑戰,但也因此更有可能在不同的環境,盛開形形色色的花朵。

強調過程導向和問題解決的實踐型研究,差異可能來自環境和制度的變動、不同專業、社群、地域和文化等層面,多元的差異和社群彼此間呈現什麼關係、形成什麼樣的互動是實踐型計畫關心的議題。再者,實踐型計畫,除了理解現況提出解釋外,更重要的是透過行動去回應共同的困境推動改變。發掘和認可差異以及組裝協作的可能性,是實踐型計畫隨著社會的變遷和場域動態而調整行動很重要的考量,這也是議題和解方在地化以及方案創新的重要考量。因此,此次研討會希望邀請大學社會實踐的研究社群能夠分享與交流與此相關的研究議題和方法論。

科技部「人文創新與社會實踐計畫」推動大學從原本的研究者與教育者,進一步扎根在地,梳理地方議題,並與在地社區協作。我們在行動中不斷反思如何發掘和認可大學團隊內部、社區內部,以及大學/社區等不同社群夥伴關係的差異,並創造各方協作的機會來回應社會需求和挑戰,繼而轉換成研究成果,促進更多的學術和社會對話。與臺灣在地緣與議題相近的日本,也引導大學資源投入社會創新與地方創生,有許多值得兩國互相交流的經驗。因此今年我們以「大學社區夥伴研究:發展理解差異的協作模式」為主題,邀請大家分享與交流與此相關的研究議題和方法論,並展開跨域、跨國經驗研究的比較和對話。

Introduction

Every university and local community has its particular culture and context. Moreover, local issues are dynamic and diverse. Thus, it is difficult to find a universe model for the university-community partnership. However, if we appreciate the difference and encourage collaboration, diversities may facilitate social practices to become more innovative and inclusive. 

University-community partnership research emphasizes on the process of problem-solving, building relationships with local communities, reframing local problems, and working with local partners to make change. It is not satisfied with only explaining the existing phenomenon. Instead, it seeks to turn ideas into real actions and make change. By recognizing social differences and appreciating their particularities, their situated knowledge and insights can provide us with different insights of reframing problems and finding workable solutions accordingly. We encourage participants to share their thoughts and methods regarding how to make social practices and university community engagement inclusive and innovative. 

With this in mind, we invite scholars and practitioners to share your latest research and work on social practices. TJA members are especially welcome to share your research and insights to enrich cross-national and interdisciplinary dialogues in this conference.

This conference solicits papers that include (but are not limited to) the following topics:
1. community governance: social engagement, participatory governance, etc.
2. social economy: sharing economy, solidarity economy, eco-friendly agriculture, etc.
3. democracy in practice: participatory design, public participation, etc.
4. aging in place: intergenerational co-housing, long-term care systems, etc.
5. regional rehabilitation: urban renewal, transitional communities, digital transformation, regional revitalization, etc.
6. cultural practices: cultural revitalization, issues on indigenous and local communities, etc.
7. international comparison: university-community partnership research, action research, teaching-as-research, university social responsibility, etc.
8. methodology: university community engagement, field research, participatory observation, etc.

Call for Papers: Abstract for Full paper, Poster, and Self-Organized Panel
Deadline for Abstract Submission: June 30th.
Notification of Acceptance: July 9th.
Deadline for Full Paper Submission: August 31st.

(一)摘要/全文投稿:
摘要投稿請隨信附上摘要(中、日、英文皆可),篇幅以400-500字左右為宜,最多500字為限,內容須包含研究現象、方法和發現,另歡迎推薦評論人選,請下載填妥「摘要投稿報名表」一併寄至大會信箱。
全文繳交時須包含完整內容(標題、摘要、三個關鍵字、作者全名、所屬機關、電子郵件以及職位),全文長約6,000到15,000字以內(不含參考文獻、附錄)為原則。

Full paper
The abstract can be Chinese, Japanese or English and should be around 400-500 (max. 500 words) in length, including “research question,” “methods,” and “findings.” Please fill the submission form, including abstract and submit it by email with attached file. Please download the submission form here. When received, you will get a confirmation email. 
For full paper submission, it must include information, such as the title, abstract, three keywords, first name, last name, affiliation, email, and position. The paper should be around 6,000-15,000 words in length while figures, tables and references are not included.

(二)海報投稿:
本次會議徵求英文海報的投稿,請在投稿摘要中註明 :1)論文標題;2)作者姓名、共同作者以及每位作者的連絡資訊;3)簡短摘要。海報內容應包含研究問題、方法、研究成果和結論。會場將提供海報展示架,海報請勿超過85cm×150cm。請下載填妥「摘要投稿報名表」一併寄至大會信箱。 

Poster
You may submit English abstracts for a poster session. All poster submissions should include: 1) the title 2) the names, affiliations, and contact information of authors, and 3) a brief abstract. Posters should include a research question (research topic), methods, results, and conclusions. Poster boards are provided. The poster should not exceed 85cm*150cm (width*height). Please fill the submission form, including abstract and submit it by email with attached file. Please download the submission form here. When received, you will get a confirmation email.

(三) 自組論壇:
自行籌組三至四人,由論壇組織者以500字左右的篇幅說明主題以及介紹發表者的主題和摘要,也請推薦每篇文章各2~3位評論人。請下載填妥「自主論壇報名表」一併寄至大會信箱。

Self-Organized Panel
The self-organized panel is welcome. Please fill up the submission form and describe the title and brief introduction of the panel (max. 500 words) and please also provide presenters’ (no more than 4 people) topics and abstracts. Please send the self-organized panel submission form together to the HISP office. Please download the submission form here. When received, you will get a confirmation email.

2. 本次會議手冊會包含發表者之論文摘要;投稿視同同意摘要的紙本印製和公開。全文則僅轉交評論人與該場主持人閱覽。

2. The conference brochure will include presenters’ abstracts. The submission of your abstract will be regarded as your agreement to print it out and share with all participants. However, the full paper will be only available for your discussant and the panel chair.
